Informatics platform
The Centre has constructed several databases to house and analyse molecular profiling data integrated into genomic data sets based on Arabidopsis genome sequencing and annotation from international sources. Web-based interfaces to our databases are available through www.plantenergy.uwa.edu.au.
Databases:
- Arabidopsis SubCellular Proteomic Database (SUBA)
- Arabidopsis Mitochondrial Protein Database (AMPDB)
- Mitochondrial Protein Import Components (MPRIC)
- Mitochondrial Protein Import Machinery of Plants (MPIMP)
The Centre is linked to the Western Australian Supercomputing Program (WASP), one of Australia's most prestigious and internationally competitive supercomputer and scientific visualisation centres.
Considerable expansion of our informatics expertise and resources during 2007 will follow our successful bid for funding from the WA Centres of Excellence in Science and Innovation scheme to create the WA State centre of Excellence in Computational Systems Biology.
